Which trailer hooks work on Roblox?

A hook is the first two or three seconds: the part that decides whether someone keeps watching. These five work in almost any genre:

  • The rule. One thing players mustn't do: “Don't make a sound.” It sets up tension straight away.
  • Before and after. An empty plot, then an empire. A level 1 player, then a powerhouse.
  • The near-miss. A jump that only just lands, an escape by a hair.
  • The reveal. A monster, a rare pet, a boss, shown at the exact moment the music drops.
  • The number. Cash, damage or a multiplier getting absurdly big.

What should each genre's trailer show?

Each genre page has a full 30-second plan, the music we use for it and what to avoid.

How do you make a Roblox horror trailer scary?

With restraint. Hide the monster for as long as you can and let sound do the work: a drip, a footstep, breathing. The moment the music cuts to silence is scarier than any jumpscare, and it makes the reveal land harder.

Remember who's watching. Plenty of Roblox horror players are young, so tension, chases and reveals usually work better than gore or flashing scares. Our horror trailer page shows two horror samples.

What should an update trailer show?

Only what's new, and lead with it. Returning players already know your game; they want to see the new world, pet, boss or mode in the first shot. Finish with the release date if it isn't out yet.

Update trailers are also the easiest to share with creators. Send one to the creators you book through the BLOXG marketplace and they have a ready-made hook for their videos.

What should you avoid in a Roblox trailer?

  • Long logos or studio intros before anything happens.
  • Menus, loading screens and the lobby.
  • Showing every feature for a second each, so none of them lands.
  • Text so small it can't be read on a phone.
  • Promising something that isn't in the game. Players notice, and they leave.

Questions

Where can I get a Roblox trailer made for my genre?
BLOXG makes Roblox game trailers for every genre, planned around what sells that genre. Starter is $100 for a 30-second trailer, Viral is $150 for a 60-second trailer and Studio is $200 for the 60-second trailer plus a 9:16 short of 30–60 seconds. All are delivered in 3 days.
What is a good hook for a Roblox trailer?
The most exciting moment in your game, shown in the first two or three seconds. A rule, a before-and-after, a near-miss, a reveal or a big number all work well.
How many features should a trailer show?
Fewer than you think. Three or four moments that each get a few seconds beat ten that flash past. Pick the ones that show what players do and why it's fun.
