Build your first project
Create a scene, edit its scripts and take the result into Roblox Studio.
Start with something small#
The workspace opens in a visual builder: name your island adventure, choose a colour theme, change the number of islands and turn checkpoints or the game menu on or off. No code is needed for these starter settings. The layout preview updates immediately; playtesting happens in Roblox Studio. For other scripts, open Advanced editor. The visual builder and advanced editor keep separate local drafts; download a JSON backup from the builder and import it into Advanced editor to continue there.
- For script editing, open Advanced editor. Its separate project starts with the Floating-island scene.
- Select ServerScriptService/IslandScene from the file list.
- Change the loop count or platform colour in the editor.
- Save a checkpoint named First island before making larger changes.
Try it in Studio#
Download the Studio model, then insert the .rbxmx file into an empty test place. The export contains a BLOXG AI Export folder. Move the scripts from each service-named folder into the matching Studio service. For StarterPlayer, preserve StarterPlayerScripts or StarterCharacterScripts. Press Play after placing the scripts.
- The scripts create the scene when the game runs; the browser is a source editor, not a 3D runtime.
- Check Output for errors and confirm that the character spawns on the first platform.
- Stop the test, return to BLOXG AI to edit, and replace the matching scripts before retesting.
Keep a recoverable copy#
Download a project backup at the end of the session. It includes current scripts and up to five checkpoints. Importing a backup replaces the active browser project only after you confirm it.
