Product roadmap

See what works today and what remains to build in the Roblox AI workspace.

Available in the browser preview#

The current release provides local code editing, script import, starter systems, text-based project indexing, context bundles, five checkpoints, JSON backups and Roblox model export. It is a web application, not a downloadable desktop editor.

Hosted AI and connected assets#

The next stage is authenticated AI coding with reviewable changes, metered usage and provider configuration. Image generation, thumbnails and icons need a separate image pipeline. Detailed mesh generation requires its own integration and asset processing; coding and image keys alone will not enable it.

The broader workspace#

Planned areas include semantic project indexing, cloud sync, team permissions, billing, version branches, rigging, character animation, audio generation, direct Studio sync and Blender workflows. These are separate engineering tasks, not features unlocked merely by adding an API key.

How availability changes#

A feature moves to Available when it has an implemented workflow and validation. No dates are promised here. Join early access for release updates, and use the separate development service if you need a scoped game built by a team now.
