Client/server remotes

Understand and use BLOXG AI’s validated RemoteEvent starter.

Run the remote example#

Add Validated client/server request. Place ActionServer in ServerScriptService and ActionClient in StarterPlayerScripts. In a desktop playtest, press F and inspect the player’s ActionCount attribute. The server accepts only the named action and rate-limits requests.

Keep decisions on the server#

A client sends an intention, not a trusted outcome. Check argument types, allowed values, character state and ownership on the server. For purchases, calculate prices and balances on the server instead of accepting a client’s totals.

Adapt it to your game#

Replace the wave action with a specific game interaction and add distance, inventory or cooldown checks appropriate to that interaction. The starter has no persistence or economy. Test with multiple clients before using it as part of a larger system.
