Product roadmap

Check out what works today and what needs to be built in the Roblox AI workspace.

Workspace prototype#

The prototype includes local code editing, script import, starter systems, text-based project indexing, context bundles, five checkpoints, JSON backups and Roblox model export. The public preview has been removed; these are development features rather than a released application.

Hosted AI and connected assets#

The next step is the authenticated AI coding with reviewable changes, metered usage and provider configuration. Image generation, thumbnails and icons require a dedicated image pipeline. Detailed mesh generation requires its own integration and asset processing; coding and image keys are not enough for that.

The broader workspace#

Future plans include semantic project indexing, cloud sync, team permissions, billing, version branches, rigging, character animation, audio generation, direct Studio sync and Blender workflows. These are separate engineering tasks, not the features enabled via an API key alone.

How availability changes#

A feature moves to Available when there is an implemented workflow and validation for it. No dates are promised here. Join early access to get release updates, and use a separate development service if you need to create a game quickly now.
